Extreme nausea during pregnancy help!!?
I am 8 wks pregnant and have nausea every single day almost all day long. I went to the doctors and they will not give me anything for the nausea, they basically tell me I have to live with it. Does anyone know any remedies that really work. I have tried ginger and ginger ale and crackers but nothing works.
Again, I have tried crackers and even when I have food on my stomach I feel really sick.

Oh honey I am so sorry that you have to go through this. I’m 22 weeks and I had severe nausea too! The only thing that helped somewhat was to keep water and crackers next to my bed, and as soon as I woke up I would drink some water and munch on a cracker. The empty feeling in your stomach like your hungry could add to your sickness, so they tell you to have something in your stomach always. If it gets to the point to where you can’t keep anything down and you’re in and out of the hospital for dehydration, they will probably give you something for it. And just remember, it’s all worth it in the end!! Good luck to you!

Natural remedies for heartburn in pregnancy?
I’m only seven weeks pregnant, so I’m sure it’s not the baby that’s causing the heartburn, I think it’s because I have such bad morning sickness, I’m throwing up all day, and when I have nothing left in my tummy to throw up it’s just acid. It’s really uncomfortable, and I really don’t need heartburn as well as extreme nausea. I’ve been told by the pharmacist that I’m ok to take Rennie’s and Gaviscon, but no other over the counter remedies as they are unsuitable for use during pregnancy, but the awful, chalky, disgusting taste of these tablets makes the sickness even worse. Is there any natural or herbal things I could take that wouldn’t harm the baby, but would get rid of the heartburn? Thanks in advance.

14 weeks pregnant with TERRIBLE heartburn/acid reflux. Does anyone have any advice or home remedies?
I have tried everything imaginable! I had this problem before I was pregnant but it seemed to subside for awhile, up until earlier this week. Now it is unbearable! I’ve tried everything that is “safe” to take during pregnancy but none of it is helping in the least. I’ve been trying to eat bland foods too, but I’ve been experiencing extreme nausea (I’m on Zofran now and it helps a lot) and some of those foods just turn my stomach, like crackers- blah!. I don’t see my doctor until next week and I need some suggestions, PLEASE!

Yes I can relate….an effective and cheap method to get relief, is to stir one heaped teaspoon of Bi-Carb Soda (baking Soda) in half a glass of water..when it is totally dissolved drink it…..you will burp a lot but the pain will go.
If you want to, you could drink half a glass of milk immediately after the Bi-Car….to take away the taste.
EDIT…EDIT…Did you try my remedy…I know it works?

So does this sound like pregnancy, too early to test???
So this is another one of those, do you think its possible I’m pregnant questions. For the last few months I have been having problems with the pill and so I have been on and off different versions. My last period was Feb. 7th and as I am getting closer to the time of my next expected one (I’m usually about a 26-27 day cycle)Here are my symptoms….About a week ago I had flu like nausea with vomitting, continues after I eat anything, or even see food on tv. Breats are incredibly tender, never been so tender especially nipples. Also, extreme moodiness, no stomach cramping, but “sore ovaries”, and bloating. Biggest symptom is the breast pain! (any remedies?) I could test but I am worried its too early and dont want to get let down then retest(plus I have just one dont wanna buy another). Do you think its too soon to test?
So overall my question is does it sound like a pregnancy, or maybe am I just hyping it up? Also any other symptoms I should be looking for before its time to test? Thanks
Thanks for all the quick responses. I suppose I will just test in the morning because I think the wondering is getting the best of me and my sleep cycles!
Just to note, me not wanting to retest is more of a mental thing (I dont want to hype myself up and keep hoping), not really financial. If I am pregnant, I am financially capable of providing for my baby. Thank you for the concern though. Finally I just took a nice warm bath and that did sooth them for a bit, now only if I could sleep the entire night in there!

The breast tenderness is a big indication of pregnancy, but it could be horomones. I would put ice packs on them, it could help a lot.
A lot of tests have the 5 days before your missed period, so I would try those since you haven’t missed it yet. If you can wait that long, sure wait til after your missed period, but I would want to know sooner rather than later.

Really bad nausea and heartburn?
I am 33 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Since I started this last trimester, my nausea and heartburn is at an all time high. I have never experienced these symptoms at these extreme levels in any of my previous pregnancies. I have been trying to drink milk and take TUMS, but they don’t work. Matter of fact, they make me feel worse. It is so bad to where I don’t even want to eat anything. My throat is sore all of the time. Do any other moms have any remedies or OTC medicines they suggest works for my severe position? Thanks in advance.

Watch what your eating. I drink milk .. Most of the time it helps.. Stay away from ANYTHING acidic: sodas, citrus, tomatos… Try to eat more thing with oils and that are easier on the stomach.. Like avocados.. Or tortillas.. Thats what i do..
