John asks…
How long does it take for the hcg pregnancy hormone to be in the urine?
I mean how long after …..having sex..or after implantation….because I experienced what I thought was implantation bleeding earlier this month and now my period is 2 days late but I got a negative test.
I had unprotected sex on July first and had spotting on July 4th and 5th

Takes about 2 weeks before you can get a home pregnancy test t show positive. HCG levels are what makes the test positive…a woman can have HCG in her system naturally at very low levels. When you are pregnant, the HCG level will double or triple every couple/three days. I concieved on Oct 15th last year, took a home test on Oct 31 and it was a faint positive, went to the doctor to get a blood test and it said I had an HCG of 36 which is barely pregnant. I would suggest seeing your doctor for a blood HCG test – they are undeniable in results.

Betty asks…
How long after conception does it take HCG (pregnancy hormone) to show up in a blood test?
Just wondering how long after sex (conception) you should wait to take a blood pregnancy test.

If you think that you know when you conceived you should wait at least ten days(anywhere from 7-10 days to be exact)
But be careful some woman don’t produce enough HCG in the early part of the pregnancy, so try and do the blood test later if you can. After about 7 days after conceived the embryo could have attached it self and might take a while for your body to start showing a significant amount of HCG( HCG starts producing and virtually doubling every two days or so after the placenta has started to produce)
I wish you luck!

Chris asks…
Can the pregnancy hormone Hcg fluctuate after a miscarriage?
I had a miscarriage 5 weeks ago. I had a negative pregnancy test last week, but have had positive tests all week. Is it possible that the tests are picking up the hormone after the negative tests or might I be pregnant again?

Yes, your hCG levels will diminish, but I have heard that it is easy to get pregnant after a miscarriage (not for me) but I have heard this not sure how true it is.

Carol asks…
How long does it take for the pregnancy hormone hCG to show up in a blood test in most people?
I went and had a blood test done when I was 10 days late, and it was negative. I’m now 14 days late. Is it possible that there wasn’t enough of the hormone in my blood to detect it at that time? I would have been 4 weeks pregnant if am. Thanks!!

As soon as the baby implants in the uterus. Which is usually 6-10 days after ovulation.

Joseph asks…
How long does the HCG (pregnancy hormone) takes to build up?

admin answers:
After implantation (around 6-10 days after ovulation) it goes up every day. By the time your period is supposed to come, you should have enough hcg in your body to show a positive result on a pg test.
