Bad itching after shaving pubic hairs?
I’m a female and shaved the first time ever down there yesterday. Now it is itching sooo bad . What can Ido to relieve the itching and also will it sting when I go swimming in the ocean?

That happened to me to. It just gets irritated it goes away in a couple of days. It doesn’t sting in the salt water it actually helps it. As for the cream try lots of calamine lotion and Burt’s bees rescue cream that is the best.

The itching is killing me! How can I make it stop?
I had damaged my hands while working and making over 175 pairs of eyeglasses in a 4 day period. They are still very dry and itch from the healing process. I have been using gloves to keep from the contact of the liquids used to fabricate the lenses and use some lotion, but they still bother me. What lotion/treatment is best to relieve the itching and dryness? (other than going to a doctor which I don’t have the insurance or the money for)

admin answers:
As someone suggested you may be allergic to latex (rubber) gloves. I have worked around chemicals, glass and carbon fiber and I, while not allergic to latex, do not like the way it feels and smells on my hands. I would typally use Nitrile gloves (usually come in blue or purple) and then double glove with latex over them, because Nitrile isn’t resistant to acetone.
Use an anti-itch cream or ointment first and then top off with a cream moisturizer. I recommend Neutrogena (fragrance free) hand cream, though many will work.
Also, check into “barrier creams” through your work. They are creams that provide “gloveless” protection and don’t wash off easily and they can be applied to your wrists and forearms for added protection.

What must I do to relieve my cats itching and hair loss?
My cat itches all over and has lost all of her hair above her tail.

admin answers:
It could be a stress and anxiety disorder. If the cat is itching itself or licking itself bald in certain spots you need to see a vet. Over the counter flea medications are not the answer in this case. Itching is commonly because of fleas but it can be from MANY other problems as well. Talk to your vet and see what may be the problem. And test your cat for ring worm also- my cat had this as a kitten when we first got him and it caused his tail to start balding. Act fast! If it is this- its a nasty disease and very contagious, can spread to humans even.

How can I relieve my leg itching under my cast?
I have a broken ankle and a long cast from knee down and it itches a lot. What can I do?

I have had many casts from ankle surgeries and breaking it and i say dont itch it or stick anything down the cast. Once it cut my skin it was a dull knitting needle and i got a huge infection. Also once you start itching you wont be able to stop and it itches more. What i do it tap on the cast where it itches and get something that vibrates or shakes and put the where the itch is. Also put a big bag of ice where the itch is. Or take a plastic bag put two ice cubes in it and put that in the cast. Or take benedryll

Sunburn keeps itching?
I went to a waterpark two days ago and i was dumb enough not to apply a secure amount of sunblock..so obviously i got burnt, but it wasn’t that bad, in fact it was pretty much only my shoulders. However, yesterday i could not stop itching! Mainly on my upper back and stomach, sometimes my chest too (strange because i didn’t burn in any of those areas..). It felt horrible and i didn’t know what to do. I suspected my skin was just overly dry and so i applied some moisturizing lotion. It didn’t help at all, and i don’t know what to do. To numb the itching i use ice ( in a pack, not directly) i don’t know if thats harmful or not, but it temporarily relieves the itching. Also, i bought some Aveeno itch relieving powder to bathe with, and thats barely helped, if at all…what should i do? And how long will i itch like this?

admin answers:
Itching is normal after a sunburn; it has to do with the body healing itself. An oatmeal bath may be soothing for the itch, but if it’s really bugging you, try Calamine lotion or an antihistamine such as Benadryl.
Take comfort in the fact that the itching will not last longer than a few days. Are you blistered? If so, don’t scratch! If you have any other symptoms such as a fever, nausea, and headache I would consult a doctor.
